ABOUT

I'm Vice President of RSM Investments, where I oversee seven properties in Downtown Bend. Having previously served on the DBBA Board, I'm running because I am invested in the long-term success of our downtown and believe the organization should be a strong advocate for the businesses and property owners it represents.

My experience managing historic buildings, working directly with tenants, and overseeing construction and redevelopment projects gives me a practical perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing Bend. I'm committed to helping create a thriving, accessible downtown that supports businesses, property owners, and the community for years to come.

WHAT ARE DOWNTOWN’S THREE GREATEST CHALLENGES?

Governance, Leadership, and Stakeholder Alignment, Downtown must continue to compete with new mixed-use developments throughout Bend, Rising operating costs for buildings and tenants, including utilities, insurance, maintenance, property taxes, and fees such as the Transportation Utility Fee.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE ON THE DBBA BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

I am interested in serving on the board because I am heavily vested in the long-term success of Downtown Bend and believe we have an opportunity to build an even stronger organization for the future. Having previously served on the board from 2023–2026, I developed a greater appreciation for the complexity of balancing the interests of property owners, businesses, residents, and visitors. As Bend continues to grow and evolve, I want to help ensure Downtown Bend has a strong and constructive voice in shaping its future. I believe our greatest opportunities lie in strengthening economic vitality, investing in streetscape improvements, and preserving downtown's accessibility and connection to the rest of the community. At the same time, we must thoughtfully address challenges such as rising operating costs for businesses and property owners, maintaining convenient parking and access for customers and employees, and ensuring our organization effectively represents the diverse interests of the downtown community. I would be excited to contribute to a long-term vision that keeps Downtown Bend vibrant, welcoming, easy to access, and well-positioned for continued success.
