ABOUT

My family has been in Bend for 110 years. I was on the Bend City Council for 8 years. I am on the St. Charles Foundation Board and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board. I sold my business (CMIT Solutions) 4 years ago. My dad was chair of the Bend Downtowners for many years and was instrumental in the massive improvement in downtown in the 70's and 80's. I am concerned about potential changes made to downtown that could negatively impact the wonderful stores that we have.

WHAT ARE DOWNTOWN’S THREE GREATEST ASSETS?

Unique stores, good and friendly people, and the beautiful look of the area.

WHAT ARE DOWNTOWN’S THREE GREATEST OPPORTUNITIES?

Expanding into the block if/when City Hall moves out. Working with business owners to have them more involved and participate. Be cautious with changes

WHAT ARE DOWNTOWN’S THREE GREATEST CHALLENGES?

Getting business owners, building owners, DBBA, and the City to work together and agree on best ways to move forward. Help the businesses be successful. Make sure everyone stays nice and friendly

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE ON THE DBBA BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

I care about our downtown. I want it to continue to be successful. I am so proud to take my guests visiting Bend to the downtown area. We need to make sure we don't screw it up.
