THIS IS A DRAFT - NOT A FINAL DECISION

At this stage, DBBA has not formalized a final position on a long-term parking program. This plan is not set in stone, and no parking changes are currently being implemented.

We are in the feedback phase, and your input will help determine what does or does not move forward.

The DBBA does not make parking policy decisions. That responsibility belongs to the City of Bend. DBBA’s role is to listen to downtown stakeholders, gather input, understand impacts, and ensure downtown voices are represented in future conversations.

Why We’re Talking About Parking

Parking is one of the most significant and complex issues facing downtown.

Through surveys and conversations, we’ve consistently heard two key challenges:

  • It can be difficult to find convenient parking downtown

  • People want the ability to stay longer than two hours without worrying about getting a ticket

This draft plan is a reflection of that input and is being shared so we can evaluate it together.

A key question is whether the plan improves access, supports downtown businesses, and allows people to stay longer with less stress.
