The Fine Print:
All banners must be purchased by the customer and supplied to the DBBA for install. Banners usually last for a couple of decades, so your initial investment in banner production is a lasting investment.
The DBBA makes the final determination on banner design; please provide an image or design rendering of your banner one month before display for DBBA approval. Banners that do not meet the banner requirements or do not withstand the physical elements will be removed without a refund.
Banners need to be 30” wide and 60” tall including 3” banner arm pockets on the top and bottom, grommets on top and bottom (total of 4 grommets), double-sided (each side can be a different graphic), and cut wind slits. Street banners must have mostly pictorial content. Any sponsor identification (no logos) must only cover about 10% of the banner and text should only be limited to basic facts about the event or organization. Utilize heavy-duty 13 ounce or higher-grade vinyl for your banner, anything less will rip. Keep your content general so you can reuse them year after year. Choose colors that will pop against the backdrop of downtown avoiding browns, dark greens, teals, etc. For a list of local Bend providers who can design your banners, click here.
The banner program is designed to feature community events, community organizations, local non-profits & community-related initiatives and celebrations. While for-profit companies can utilize the banner program, banner design is specific - please see specifications above, or reach out to us if you have any questions. We also recommend that you consider advertising on our Directory Kiosks, which have fewer requirements for add design.
Banners must be delivered to the DBBA a minimum of one week before the installation date. If your banner installation is delayed because of a late drop-off, no refunds will be given.
Banners must be picked up from the DBBA a maximum of 5 business days after removal. If banners are not picked up within 21 days of removal, your banners will be disposed of.
