Executive Director, Shannon Monihan
Shannon has a passion for entrepreneurship, business development, marketing and branding. Her long and rich career has kept her traveling the globe, navigating international manufacturing, national sales rollouts, and multiple brand start-ups bringing them from infancy to fruition.
With a strong sense of what people need, want, and are attracted to, Shannon championed multiple companies in the beauty, medical aesthetics, and firearms tactical training industry with her company, Red Frog.
After visiting Bend throughout her life, she finally made the jump to live in the city she has always loved. She is excited to work in the heartbeat of Bend and work with the down-to-earth, yet sophisticated, businesses that are in Downtown Bend.

Business Administrative, Barbara Simms
After several years of travel to Central Oregon, Barbara was thrilled to move to Bend and call it home in 2015. Barbara holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Davis, and brings over 25 years of business, financial, and administrative experience to the DBBA.
Before joining the DBBA, Barbara worked for a global environmental consulting company as its
subcontract administrator for the US Region, serving clients in both the public and private sectors. She also spent over a decade working in the financial industry, holding positions in finance and business operations.
Barbara enjoys volunteering, and has been a swim coach for Special Olympics in Washington State, and has volunteered with Partners In Care, here in Bend. In her free time, she enjoys the local music scene, and hiking with friends and her dog, Sophie.

Executive Assistant, Banners and Event Support, Liz Roberts
Recently moved to Bend after selling her dance studio business in Livermore, California. She also volunteered, worked and was on the LDI Association and was BOD, executive board member and president.
She is very excited and thrilled to be on the DBBA team and looks forward in meeting and working with the awesome downtown businesses and the wonderful community.

DBBA Consultant, Michaela Emerson
Michaela is from Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to Bend in 2016. She started out as a producer, reporter, and weather woman for NewsChannel 21- KTVZ. In 2019, she switched to Public Relations, Marketing, and Event Planning with the DBBA.
After all the cities she has traveled through in Europe, Bend has continued to be a special place in her heart. She is excited to bring the community together in the heart of Bend, which is Downtown.
