How is my property assessed?
Commercial square footage is determined by Deschutes County (DIAL), click here to view the report for your building. Some buildings have multiple addresses and tax lots. You can use this city's GIS tool to view any property, gain additional information, and pull up all of the DIAL reports. The DBBA takes the square footage provided by Deschutes County, and provides this information to the City of Bend to be assessed at the current approved rate of the EID levy.
Who pays the EID?
The building owner is responsible to pay the EID levy, but this fee is often passed onto the business owner (tenant) of the building.
What does the EID pay for?
The EID levy helps to pay for the scope of work provided by the DBBA. Additionally, the DBBA is funded by revenue-generating program and fundraisers managed by the DBBA.
