We did it, we made it through the heatwave, as well as survived the 4th of July weekend! Now that we got through that it seems we are up against a new issue, forest fires. With the largest active fire in the US, burning down by our southern border and the Grandview fire raging just north of us, the fire and smoke inhalation danger has never been higher, hence the state-wide ban on campfires, you can read more about that here.
We are two weeks into the Coid-19 restrictions being lifted in Oregon, and events are in full swing again! If you haven't noticed Munch & music has made a full return and you can find all the information you need here.
In addition to Munch & Music, The Bend Farmers Market which has been back for a few weeks now, is no longer requiring masks. If you haven't been yet, you can pick up fresh local goods and produce every Wednesday on the Brooks alley Promenade from 2-6pm. You can find all the information you need on their website here.
This week we headed over to The Cellar, by Porter Brewing in Redmond. With an incredible aesthetic that perfectly matches their cask-conditioned 'real ales', The Cellar's new basement location off of Oregon is the perfect spot for something new on a hot summer's day. Our favorite beer was the 'BULLETin', an easy-drinking, approachable, malt-oriented Blonde ale, with tropical notes of fruit, it's an amazingly well balanced, and clean IPA.
