Hello! Hey I’m Jacq, or Jacqueline as my parents would prefer. Introducing myself is way overdue, but I think that says a lot about me. I’d prefer to be behind the scenes working away rather than presenting my ideas, words or creations (even my about page). Like most, right? But, modeling for other brands and peoples’ ideas––I’m all in, and I’ll have a veggie sandwich for lunch then an extra hot americano with room, please! Found Natural Goods is my brainchild and I’m so happy I took the leap to bring her to life six months ago via a brick-and-mortar downtown Bend, Oregon. She actually started three years ago when I had many other irons in the fire. A Few Fun Facts:
Cheers the the year ahead, Jacq

The Downtown Bend Business Association (DBBA), a small local nonprofit, is responsible for removing snow from the sidewalks within the entire Economic Improvement District (EID). You can see the boundaries of this district on the map here. During the recent record snowfall in Bend, the DBBA staff worked around the clock to ensure that all businesses were accessible in Downtown Bend. "It is of utmost importance to us that during a storm like this, our businesses remain accessible to our community members and Bend visitors." said Mindy Aisling, Executive Director at the DBBA, "We had 2 snow blowers, an ATV with a snow plow attached, and a staff of 7 with snow shovels working around the clock to make sure our businesses were taken care of. This is difficult, cold work and I am so proud of our team and the incredible job that they did serving our local community." The mission of the Downtown Bend Business Association is to increase the economic vitality by enhancing the experience, image, and lifestyle of Downtown Bend.

From an early age, it was clear to Elyse that some form of artistic expression would be a central theme of her life’s journey. As of today, she has been a jewelry artist for over 40 years. While studying graphic art at the University of Texas at Austin, she took a non-credit jewelry making class — just for fun — and found herself hooked for life. It was the challenge of designing in three dimensions and the excitement of working with precious metals and a myriad colors and fine gems that made the medium so enticing. After moving to California, Elyse sought out employment at small jewelry and lapidary shops, where she could practice and expand her jewelry making skills while studying art at American River College as well as some advanced training at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco gemological courses through the Gemological Institute of America. Elyse’s personal style tends toward fluid, organic line and asymmetrical designs. As a Custom Jewelry Designer, he demonstrates an uncanny ability to intuit a person’s individual style that borders on a sixth sense. Her years of experience at the bench affords her an understanding of manufacturing techniques, giving her an unparalleled grasp of the custom jewelry process from concept through completion. Her current works are displayed in her retail gallery at The Sunstone Store, 920 NW Bond Street Suite 106 in Bend, Oregon. Elyse currently holds certificates in Diamonds, Diamond Grading, Colored Stone Identification, and Colored Stone Grading. She is also a graduate of the Master Valuer jewelry appraisal program. For 24 years Marie-Florence has been the genius of Romantique- which offers an array of very fine lingerie and European fashions, causal and elegant, and she's known to spend time with you until you feel happy and comfortable. Romantique is located at 217 NW Oregon St in Downtown Bend (Right behind Goody's Chocolates) If you work in Downtown Bend, the best way to park is to purchase a parking permit through Diamond Parking and park your car in employee designated areas. Here's why:
Where are the approved locations? There are 5 approved lots for employees to park in:
How much does it cost?Permit rates range from $20 to $50 per month, or if you make under $17/hr - the discounted range is from $10-$25 per month.
How do these rates compare to other similar Downtowns?Compared to other Downtown areas - Bend's employee rates are very affordable. Here are a few comparisons:
Why is it important to leave the parking spaces closest to the core for customers? If you are an employee in Downtown Bend, then you have a vested interest in seeing Downtown Bend succeed. The graphic to the left helps explain the value of a parking space. If an employee parks in a space in front of a business, you can calculate the dollar amount of lost sales because of that. The graphic to the left is an example from Vancouver, Wa. For a business owner to figure out the exact, specific amount their business is loosing by having an employee park in front of their business, take your average sale ($X.XX) x 7.69 (Bend’s turnover ratio) x 300 (shopping days) to = the annual value of a parking stall. In the big picture, you can play around with these numbers to get an idea of the overall impact of employees parking in the core of Downtown Bend. Imagine that just 1 (of the 4,000) employees in Downtown Bend park in the core (in front of a business), and let's imagine that the average sale of a Downtown business is $15, using the formula above, that would be a collective loss of income to Downtown businesses of $34,605/year. Now imagine that 50 or 100 employees are parking in the core. How do I get a permit & who do I contact with questions? You can get a permit by going to Diamond Parking at 841 NW Bond Street in Downtown Bend. The Diamond parking office right between Cozy in Bend and the Bond Street Barbershop. You can contact them at (541) 317-2805.
