Downtown Bend Merchant Meeting
What: Downtown Bend Policing Project
When: Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 – 5:30-7:30pm
Where: Deschutes County Library (Brooks room)
The DBBA is working with Bend PD and City of Bend to come up with a plan to curb negative behavior problems in Downtown.
Please plan to attend this very informative meeting conducted by Sgt. Dan Ritchie (Bend PD), Carolyn Eagan (City of Bend), Donna Burklo (Family Kitchen) and DBBA staff (Rod Porsche & Kelli Brooks).
Some of the items that will be covered at this meeting:
- Exclusionary Zone boundaries
- Loitering laws/Constitutionally Protected Behaviors
- Identifying Problem areas in Downtown
- Opportunities to reduce the number of negative behavior issues
In order to respect everyone’s time and gather information, a survey will be handed out to gather feedback from merchants to gauge problem areas.
The Library room will be open at 5:00pm if you would like to enjoy a meet and greet. We understand that not everyone can make it at 5:30, so please feel free to join us as soon as you are available. The doors will be unlocked.
The Brooks room is located on the main level, just turn to the left when you enter the main doors. This room seats 80 people, so space is limited.
Any questions?
