Assistant General Manager:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel with the guidance and direction of the hotel General Manager. S/he is responsible for overall guest satisfaction and employee relations of the hotel. The Assistant General Manager will provide exceptional caring and genuine guest service at all times and uphold the Oxford Hotel Group standards and culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Operations (35%): The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the hotel overall. assist in overseeing the control of operating costs. Communicate with guests and provide exceptional services and resolutions are provided. Communicate and investigates all employee and guest safety and other incidents. Assists in completing monthly and quarterly budget reviews. Reviews invoice details, collections, and reconciliations. Audits and corrects any discrepancies within the reservation system. Participates in revenue management process. Effective communication within the hotel departments. Assists in the review and completion of long-term and short-term goals of the hotel. Assists in the management cost control and expenditures. Regularly inspects the property for cleanliness and overall presentation of the hotel. Continuous communication with the home office.
 Employee Development (35%): Assists in the following processes to department managers:
recruiting, hiring, training and employee development. Communicate and investigate any issues with regards to employee relations to General Manager; simultaneously communicating to the home office. Oversees the Safety Program and assists with RTW program. Review schedule and completes payroll.
 Customer Relations (30%): Communicates clears, effectively and timely with guests in person and through other means of communication. Continuously reviews staff overall training and customer service.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
 Education & Experience
 High school diploma or equivalent required
 Two or four-year college degree preferred
 At least three progressive experience in a hotel or related hospitality field
 Prior Assistant General Manager or equivalent experience preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
 Must have a valid drivers license and meet company driving standards
 Must have strong computer skills
 Must have excellent organization and time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Long hours sometimes required, including nights, evenings and weekends
 Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing overhead reaching occasionally:
 Must be able to work indoors or outside;
 Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day;
 Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance;
 Must be able to bend, squat crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;

 While primarily an indoor job must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
 Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).

 

Marketing Intern

JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Intern will be responsible for providing support to the Marketing Department. S/he will assist with web & traditional company marketing efforts to ensure optimum branding and positioning within market segments. Intern will be required to assist in production, review, maintenance and analysis of traditional marketing efforts as needed. S/he will assist with the distribution of the logo’d collateral inventory, and will be responsible for maintaining the organization of the marketing storage room. S/he will generate monthly reports for review as assigned by VP.

This role is highly collaborative and will require constant and effective communication with
Marketing team members. The Marketing Intern will provide exceptional caring and genuine guest service at all times, and uphold the Oxford Corporate standards and culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists with all traditional marketing efforts for hotels, restaurants, events and corporate as
assigned.  Assists with the distribution of traditional marketing collaterals including logo’d sales collaterals
– Includes both inventory management and distribution from Home Office and Warehouse
-Ensures all logos & fonts are used within company style guidelines
-Responsible for updating websites with approved Event submissions (Event Wufoo)
– Includes reviewing requests for private page needs and use of promo codes. May assist with monitoring TripAdvisor monthly
– All special offers should be up and accurate at all times
– All hotel announcements should be up and accurate at all times
– Alert VP of any anomalies
– Assist with web distribution of marketing campaigns
– Verifying online accuracy
– Alerting VP of anomalies
– Assist with Social Media content and scheduling
– Assist with photo distribution
– Organize and maintain the Marketing Storage room, in addition to monitoring the warehouse organization.
– Assemble & distribute auction donation baskets as needed
– Runs various requested reports, as needed
– May be required to make basic web edits, on an “as-needed” basis
– Back up home office receptionist as needed
– Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a professional, friendly, service-oriented manner.
– Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Oxford Corporate standards
– Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
– Represents Oxford Corporate at various community events/seminars
-Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Two-year degree in marketing, public relations, communications or another related field strongly preferred
At least 6 months previous marketing experience preferred
Prior hospitality experience preferred
General computer knowledge, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
Microsoft Office skills required including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Experience with Access and/or Tableau preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Must have a working knowledge of Gmail, and related systems such as Google Drive

Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
Must possess excellent communication skills
