As a part of the Day of the Dead Cyclocross Festival, Artworks, Altars, and Interpretations of Day of the Dead will be on display throughout downtown Bend Wednesday 10/26 through Monday 10/31/2011. We’ll celebrate the event with an art walk on Friday from 6 to 9 pm.  See inspired works from Amy Castano, Andrew Steiner, Elise Jones, Gary Bonacker, Laura Walker, Laura Winberry, lloyd mcmullen, Mark Bernahl, Megan McGuiness, Sara Yellich, Suzan Noyes Mangold, Sweet Pea Cole, and Tara Doherty.

Traditionally, Dia de los Muertos includes parading through the streets with shrines and altars; the Cross Culture Caminata offers a unique interpretation of the parade. Walk from one art installation to another for a festive evening of seeing amazing artworks, meeting the stellar line-up of artists, and seeing downtown Bend.

To document your evening’s travels through our downtown and artworks, passports with a detailed map will be available. Get the artists and/or business owners to stamp your passport. Visit each installation, collect all the stamps, and you can present your passport for FREE entry to the Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show on Saturday or Sunday, October 29-30, 2011.
