Snowboard Film- Bend Premiere!

The Absinthe Films crew is stopping in Bend as part of their Sphere of Influence Tour. They’ll be showing their latest hi-def masterwork, “twel2ve” and “Yes. It’s a Movie”.

Of course there will also be prizes, rider appearances, and general mayhem. Plus for every ticket sold, they’re giving $1 to Bend Backcountry Alliance. Nice!

The lowdown:

• Doors open at 7pm; films at 8pm
• Tower Theater
• Tickets $15
• Tickets available at Skjersaa’s, Side Effect, online from the Tower Theater, and at the door.

This crew is making a great effort to be low impact and to give back. Their film tour has been carbon neutral for the last 5 years. (This year they’re working with Native Energy to provide critical upfront funding for the Rainier Farm Biosgas Project in Enumclaw, WA.) They’re also working with 1% For The Planet and Protect Our Winters to help encourage the winter sports community to think critically about climate change.
