Where do I park if I work downtown?
There are many long term parking options in every area of downtown, permits starting as low as $15/month
Leave the car at home & earn incentives like gift certificates & lunch coupons when you carpool, bike, walk or take the bus (info: www.CommuteOptions.org).
There is also a disincentive for those that don’t park smart from the start. Drivers who habitually move their car to extend parking time limits rather than utilizing long term options will see increased fines for each ticket received. One parking citation fine will more than cover the cost of an affordable monthly parking permit.
Why can you only park on the street for 2 hours?
Downtown on-street parking is one of our most valuable assets. In order for our downtown district to be successful, that asset needs to be available as often as possible, it needs to turnover. Think of a busy restaurant. The more people that the restaurant can serve, the more successful they’ll be. They want the tables to turn quickly so the next customers can use them. Downtown parking is similar.
See the parking permit map with all of the options. Follow our progress on how we have worked to help improve parking policy.

When is parking monitored?
Parking is monitored in Downtown Bend Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is not regulated on Sundays or holidays.
