For the 7th year, the Downtown Bend Business Association (DBBA) will hold the Bend Oktoberfest to raise funds for Downtown Bend beautification projects. The community event is FREE to attend & will be held in Downtown Bend on Friday, September 23rd from 5-10pm and Saturday, September 24th from noon-10pm on Minnesota Avenue.

Parent’s Night Out
Friday & Saturday night Kids Art Event
The School of Enrichment, an Independent School @ Cascades Academy that focuses on early childhood development, will be hosting a Parent’s Night Out at The Pottery Lounge, 119 Oregon Avenue in Downtown during Oktoberfest.
Parents will be able to drop off their kids aged 3-10 for an evening of great Oktoberfest inspired art activities.

Event Details
Throughout the event folks can sample traditional Bavarian style music, beers, wines, foods and absurd games of skill for prizes! The Deschutes Brewery German Feast will offer traditional Bavarian foods including brats, pretzels and more. Food will be served throughout the event in modest portions allowing attendees to try everything. We will be featuring the beer of Bend Brewing Company and Boneyard Beer! Other Central Oregon breweries will also be serving their best Oktoberfest brews and other ales.
All servings are pint pours of brew! We’ll have our yellow steins, limited edition ceramic steins and new for this year, VERY limited edition Oktoberfest Silipints! Note-Silipints and ceramic steins are likely to go quickly so swing by Friday night & grab one!
Friday Night: Friday evening activities will be open to attendees 21 and over.
5pm: Kegs are tapped!
7pm: 92/9 FM Celebrity Yodeling Contest featuring local personalities.
Saturday:
Noon-6pm: OnPoint Community Credit Union Family Fest. Activities will include kid activities provided by a half dozen local businesses and nonprofits. Additionally, bouncy houses, balloon twisting, and face painting and the legendary Bend Pet Express Wiener Dog races benefiting the Humane Society of Central Oregon.
Stick around Saturday night and watch the Ducks game inside the event at The Stereo Planet Game Center!
2pm: Hammer-schlagen competition (race to hammer a nail into a log)
3pm: Bend Pet Express Wiener Dog race registration opens
4pm: Bend Pet Express Wiener Dog races begin
6pm: Family Fest closes, 6pm-10pm open to 21+ attendees.
7pm: Thread2Head.com Custom Headwear Oktoberfest Costume contest.
