Hi, I’m Joni Olsen and so excited to be putting my art “out there” for people to see. People always ask what type of “things” I draw and I can say it’s not so much the “things” as the emotion or feelings. No two people ever see the same things in my pieces, but most everyone can recognize some type of emotion in them. Anger, happiness, laughter, intense, spiritual, calming, peace, tranquility, some will even take you on a journey where only your mind can go. Living in beautiful Central Oregon, I’ve several pieces that reflect the beauty of our area, as seen through my mind’s eye. I recently completed the “Guardian of Yellowstone” that depicts many of the sights, feelings and experiences of one of the most beautiful places on earth, while encompassing the spirit of the majestic buffalo. I hope you enjoy my art. Thank you for visiting.

City Hall

The art of Miller Elementary School. 3rd grade teacher Janelle Rebick will be showing some of her work as well as the work of the students.
There will be refreshments and prizes!!!
Photographers Joel Bailie & Annie Muske-Dukes-Driggs,
Artists Mojdeh Bahar, Ande Cardwell, Judy Hoiness, Sara Wiener and Jennifer Poncia.
Artists have been given a photograph of an object found in Bend. The photograph is either a macro-photo or a photo taken under an electron microscope (Scanned Electronic Microscopy), which appears abstract and unrecognizable. The artist then created a work of art inspired by the abstraction of that object.
Friday, four artists will reveal their objects. Before the object is revealed, the public will be asked to guess what the objects are and have the chance to win a prize from Orvis, Athletic Club of Bend, Visit Bend, All Mixed Up,
and more. [you must be present to win]
