High Risk Youth Drinking Prevention Coalition

High Risk Youth Drinking Prevention Coalition

The Deschutes County Children & Families is seeking coalition members to assist with a collection of County-wide initiatives designed to reduce high risk drinking among 18-25 year olds.  High risk drinking impacts our local economy and the health of our communities.  By working together, we can reduce high risk drinking in Deschutes County.  Individual citizens, as well as representatives from businesses or other organizations are welcomed to participate.

This is an excellent opportunity for all sectors of our community to contribute to a healthy, vibrant County.  Previous experience with prevention is not required and training will be provided.  Coalition members will work together to implement a one-year action plan* which addresses easy social access to alcohol and community norms which allow high risk drinking to occur in our communities.
