First Friday Art Walk features Music and Art: Portland’s Tanner Cundy Group, a three piece string band featuring original music that combines pop sensibilities with a rock and roll attitude bundled with an upbeat British flair. They are currently touring regionally in support of their recent release, a five song E.P. entitled “King and Queen.”  Tanner, a left-handed, upside-down guitarist puts his own stamp on iconic rock classics in an acoustic format that will make you forget about Marshall Amps and fuzz boxes.

Art on display is by Karen Eland (above) with her espresso paintings and Ed Endsley (below) showing conceptual photography of “Visions Near the Edge of Imagination.” A special showing of his aerial views of the Central Oregon Cascades will be included.

First Friday Art Walk features Music and Art: String Theory Music teams up with Earth Sense, Sin Art Gallery and others to celebrate with live music by local bluegrass/folk band the Prairie Rockets, while as many as five local artists will cover the hallways and studios with their canvases of color and thought. There will be a $5 instrument raffle at 9pm (need not be present to win).
