Aaron Duccini Glass and Design at Piece of Mind
Handmade Glass art created by a local artist. Aaron Duccini has been creating glass art since 1999.
Best known for her large, vibrant figure paintings, Sheila’s work explores the fluid relationship between figure and environment: how each continuously informs and affects the other. At the heart of this exploration lies the notion that we both form – and are formed by - all we have seen and experienced.
When she is not in the painting studio, Sheila can be found teaching yoga, searching for her lost keys and exploring the wonders of the Northwest.
The Karen Bandy Studio
Tequila tastings tonight for First Friday at Karen Bandy Studio! Come check out new cold wax paintings and new jewelry too! I have lots of pearl drops in stock, and will help you create your personal look, your personal amulet. For more info please read my blog here.
Artist Toby Putnum at Velvet
Putnam was a featured artist at The 1 Moto Show in Portland in February. To create five flashy, graphic motorcycle-themed images, he first drew with an ink pen on paper, overlaid the resulting image with gold foil and then added more definition with ink. The next step involved cutting out the image and attaching it to a 14 square-inch board with gels and resins. To achieve a weathered look, he beat the boards with chains and even scorched them. The resulting images include creatures—a lion and a dragon among them—wearing motorcycle helmets. Another depicts a set of handlebars intertwined with flowers and a snake.
“All of us have a journey. I’ve had a lot of tragedy. But I’m surrounded by beautiful people, and it’s been very healing to be in this place,” the 39-year-old artist said of Bend.

More on our featured artist and band:
The strong, black lines and bright colors are a continuing theme in the work of Tricia Huggin. Influenced by the beautiful Oregon scenery and artists such as Matisse, Gauguin, and Van Gogh, Huggin found inspiration from the contrast of dying junipers and pines and the vibrant Oregon summer sky. She is best known for her depiction of poppies and the haunting, sculptural trees. Huggin is a mother of three and formerly a children’s clothing designer living in Bend, OR. “Art fulfills my need to create,” she says, “or better said by Picasso…”
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life…”
The Bucklys, a rock/soul trio based in Bend, OR, craft a rich sound, blending genres and crossing musical boundaries. Powered by the songwriting and imagination of longtime surfer and guitarist, Bill “Huggy Bear” Huggin, The Bucklys feels like sticking your toes in the sand on the perfect beach day. The vibe is relaxed, the sound is rock ‘n roll, and the feel is just right.
Bill is joined by drummer John Cashman and bassist/trumpeter Marc Saccoman. The musicianship is solid, the feel is groovy, ethereal, and sometimes gritty.
“The group is a prime example of the power trio – in which every member is firing on all cylinders – no slouching here.” ~Bend Bulletin October 2017

Bend Comedy Presents: Riley Fox & Coor Cohen
Bend Comedy Presents:
- RILEY FOX -
Nashville-bred, Portland-based comic RILEY FOX is a thinking-man in an increasingly non-thinking world. Armed with a lethal combination of Southern charm and West Coast smarts, Riley's comedy points out the absurdities and hypocrisies of just about everything, from life growing up in the South to musings about politics, religion, and society at large. From comedy clubs to college auditoriums to seafood restaurants to a flatbed trailer behind a redneck bar, Riley has seen it all and done it all, making him one of the most versatile comedians in the Pacific Northwest.
- COOR COHEN -
Portland-based comic Coor Cohen’s transient upbringing and natural charisma allowed her to quickly develop the “intellectually silly” comedic voice that has become a distinct signature throughout her work. Coor’s performances are layered with intellectual stimulation, thoughtful jabs at the status quo, and the ability to connect with and hold audiences throughout a wide variety of topics, ranging from her obsession with the media landscape, to the peculiarities of public radio fundraising, and even the Wu-Tang Clan. By elevating her material she brings a refreshing point-of-view to any stage, and regardless of what region (or small county) of the country Coor is performing, she leaves their audiences feeling like they just met their new best friend.

An Evening Empowering Self-Love Rituals | Found Natural Goods
A week prior to the day coined around celebrating Love — Valentine’s Day — we want to empower our Found People to remember first-and-foremost that Self-Love is Queen.
That said, we’re staying open late Friday, February 8th from 5 pm - 8 pm to offer all our sustainable goods into your world with a small addition of counsel depending on what you’re in need of. Rest? Ritual? Some fun? Maybe just the reminder that Valentine’s Day can be about something larger than the pressures around the holiday. Make it about YOU.
Gift yourself a something that you just love. That makes you know how beautiful you are inside and out with each mist. That reminds you how important and loved you are with each application. How sexy you can be in a silky or velvety something. How balanced you can be mentally after a hot bath soak. Or how cherished you are with a ring on whatever finger you wish, all gifted to yourself.
Once you take care of yourself first, it’s much easier to see how you can be there for another love in your life. XO
