 The Red Chair gallery is an artist operated venue for Central Oregon artists. Its mission is to incorporate fine art and contemporary craft, in one location, and to create an environment exclusive to regional artists for the enjoyment of the local population and the out of town visitors. The diversity of the art mediums is key to realizing the gallery’s mission. Since 2010, the Red Chair gallery has been located in the historic O’Kane Building in Downtown Bend on the corner of Oregon Avenue and Bond Street. With its expansive windows, leaded glass detail and old world character, the O’Kane Building, continues to represent Bend and its colorful past by mixing old world charm with the artwork of the talented and contemporary artists within. Housed in other charming yet modernized buildings of Downtown Bend you will find art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, coffee houses, and even barbershops, to name just a few, that have a history in the Downtown area all their own.
