A wonderful journey thru’ Downtown Bend in the 1960′s
This old 8mm movie of Bend, Oregon was made in either the Fall of 1967 or early Spring of 1968.
A few of the high points to check out include:
@ 1:01-The City Center Motel on the north side of Franklin where Connecting Point Computers now sits (the motel eventually moved to the south side of Franklin and was demolished in the mid 2000′s.
@ 1:24-The Pilot Butte Inn which was demolished a few years after this film was made.
@ 1:30-The JC Penney’s Building on the left side of the screen on Wall Street in all it’s original brick-faced architectural grandeur.
