Counterfeiters in the NW

On Friday, March 26th, several retailers in the Boise area were hit by a traveling group passing counterfeit AAA Visa Traveler’s checks.  All of the counterfeit checks are in $100 denominations.  The suspects will make a small purchase, then pay with the counterfeit.

Prior to Boise, the group had hit a number of stores in the Salt Lake City, UT, area.  After leaving Boise, the group traveled westbound.  The group is out of California, so they are likey headed westbound on I-84 through Oregon, then on to either Washington or California.   The group is driving a silver 4-door sedan, wtih California plates:  6KSF854 (which returns to a 1999 Lexus, registered to a subject in Tracy, CA).
