Occupancy at 92% with 4 new businesses

More info on the leasing climate

The Downtown Bend Business Association announces 4 new businesses starting up and the current occupancy rate for the third quarter of 2012. Occupancy is at 92%. The rate is based on the number of leased retail/restaurant spaces in the downtown district.

“We are excited that several spaces that had been vacant for some time are now filled.” says DBBA Executive Director Chuck Arnold.

Bond Street gains two new businesses. Noi Thai Cuisine (550 Franklin-entrance on Bond) opens in the space formerly occupied by Typhoon!. The restaurant offers spicy Northern Thailand cuisine. O mo mo! (920 Bond Street) moves onto Bond Street in Downtown Bend from the Old Mill District. The popular hip store offers clothes, shoes, and locally made jewelry.

Brooks Street will see the opening of Crow’s Feet Commons (875 Brooks Street) in a few weeks. The new shop will offer bike and ski sales, repairs as well as beverages in a welcoming community atmosphere.

541 Threads (5 Minnesota) has come to Minnesota Avenue across from the Oxford Hotel. The local apparel company donates proceeds from every purchase to support local food banks.

The DBBA is a private nonprofit organization representing approximately 350 businesses and 85 property owners working to keep Downtown Bend vibrant. The organization is responsible for downtown beautification, cleaning and maintenance, marketing, events, and keeping the business environment healthy.
